Tuition Assistance
Active military students have access to military tuition assistance to help offset a portion of their tuition and fees. Based on a majority of the current tuition assistance (TA) policies, the military’s TA program pays up to a maximum of $250 per credit hour and a personal maximum of $4,500 per fiscal year for each student. Some National Guard and Reserve units also provide tuition assistance, although benefits may differ from those offered by the full-time, active-duty program. If you are an active-duty servicemember, please verify with your ESO to be sure your TA policies have not recently changed.
10% Savings on Graduate Tuition
In honor of your service, Michigan State is pleased to offer a special 10% military tuition savings off its online master’s degree offered through the Eli Broad College of Business. This exclusive tuition pricing is available to: active-duty servicemembers, reservists, guardsmen, veterans, military spouses and dependents of deceased or disabled veterans.
Veterans Education Benefits
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers a variety of education benefit programs for those who qualify, such as the Montgomery GI Bill® and Post-9/11 GI Bill®. Michigan State’s online master’s degree and graduate certificates are approved for the use of VA educational benefits. To determine your eligibility and apply for benefits, refer to the GI Bill® website, www.benefits.va.gov/, hosted by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
