Upon successful completion of the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course and final project, students are eligible to take Villanova’s Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification exam. Earning your Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CLSSBB) certification reflects a commitment to quality and organizational improvement.
To be eligible for the Black Belt course and certification exam, candidates must complete Villanova’s Lean Six Sigma and Six Sigma Green Belt courses as a prerequisite. Candidates who can prove comprehensive understanding of Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt may be eligible to take the Black Belt course as a standalone with university approval.

Upon successful completion of the Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt course and final project, students are eligible to take the Master Black Belt certification exam, at no extra cost.* Earning Villanova’s Master Black Belt certification indicates you have mastered the concepts of Six Sigma and are capable of leading company-wide projects.
*To be eligible for the Master Black Belt course and certification exam, candidates must complete the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course as a prerequisite. If you hold a Black Belt credential from another organization, this may be considered as a prerequisite with university approval. Contact an enrollment representative to determine if you qualify.
